We respect your privacy! And your security is of the greatest importance to us.
In summary, our aim is to be as fair and respectful as possible. We have no intention of doing anything with anyone’s information that would cause them worry. We’ve tried to write it in plain English so that it’s easy to understand.
From whom do we collect your information?
You. We use an ‘opt-in’ system, whereby you provide to us as much information as you choose to provide. Once we have your information, you also have the opportunity to opt out (see below).
What happens if you want us to change or delete your details?
Should you want us to change or delete your personal details, you’ll need to provide your required changes via email or written letter: we need proof that you are who you say you are, so that only you can change your profile. We can delete your entry in the database upon request, though there will still be details in back-up archives with which we can’t tamper.
What information do we collect?
We only record information that‘s directly applicable to making your experience with Y natural as positive as possible. This refers to making your purchase secure, speedy and so that we can get exactly what you want delivered to your door as quickly as possible.
For example, this means we need to know your delivery address and email or phone, so we can contact you if we have a query about your order. If you take part in an initiative or reward plan, we seek only the information (e.g. your birthday) that’s directly applicable to fulfilling the aims of the initiative and ensuring the correct people get their rightful rewards.
Since we pay some websites a commission for providing an online link to Y natural, we may also collect the referring URL if you find Y natural from one of these sites.
Do we share the information we collect?
No we do not. All of the information we collect will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, disclosed, or loaned. Any information you give us will be held with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways to which you haven’t consented.
Y natural does not have third parties involved in conducting its business (e.g. contract companies processing or packing orders) so you can be sure that your details are not being shared with anyone outside the company, whether in Australia or overseas.
There is one exception: should we be required by law to supply some sort of information to a law enforcement agency, then we shall do so. It’s the law. Should there be some activity or activities that we have reason to believe are unlawful, we shall report those activities and the associated relevant information to the authorities.
How secure is your information?
Also, don’t forget that the responsibility to maintain and safeguard your registration ID and password lies with you. Please use the greatest care and discretion when online, and ensure that you never tick the “remember me” box if you are working on a public computer.
How will we use your information?
We will only use your information in-house, and only in order to provide the level of service that you want and deserve. For example, we encourage and appreciate feedback. We will only put your feedback (such as testimonials, advice to other users, recommendations or photographs) on our website or in our promotional materials with your express permission.
What about children under 13 years of age?
We encourage parents to supervise their children’s activities on any part of the Y natural website or online shop as there is information that may require explanation from adults. We do not want children under 13 years of age to send us personal information: should we find this has happened, we’ll do our best to contact the parent or guardian, and take whatever rectifying action is appropriate given the context and the type of information that may have been disclosed.
What if I have a complaint?
In the first instance, we’d like you to come to us, so that we can do our best to address your concerns. If after a reasonable time we haven’t addressed your concerns to your satisfaction, then you have the option of making a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) – here are more details about the process of making a complaint.
