We go to the mountain 🙂

It’s been a long time since we ventured beyond our borders, but at last we did. It felt good, and our surroundings certainly were a good fit with the goal of living a life more beautiful.

I thought you might enjoy a little vicarious travel to beautiful Tasmania. Now that I’m home, I value the reminder to appreciate the beauty of small things and brief moments that might otherwise be overlooked. The love of a pet. A hot shower on a cold day. A delicious meal. A beautiful fragrance, whether from a flower, a meal or from the skincare we use every night. Especially the skincare 😉

Actually, on that note, with all that time we spent around (or in) water, there really were lots of things about Y natural that kept surfacing in my thoughts. Our commitment to ensuring that nothing polluting enters our waterways and oceans. The seaweed extract we use in 200 BUFF. Ideas about what our customers might love. The importance of water to our skin, to our whole life. How we South Australians, who live in the driest state in the driest continent*, have a special respect for water.

After so much craving to be away and let go of work for a while, it felt good that my thoughts of work were all about positive things: the beautiful ingredients and products, our care of the planet, and the special people who are part of the Y natural ‘family’.

I hope you enjoy the photos,
Barbara x

*Except Antarctica, where there’s a lot of solid H2O (ice), but precious little liquid H2O (water).

Clockwise from top LHS: the emerald waters of Wineglass Bay; also Wineglass Bay; the enchanting peacefulness at Honeymoon Bay; That peak in the middle is Mt Amos, which we climbed super-early to be at the top for sunrise; the glassy waters of Hazard Beach; bodysurfing at the Bay of Fires; the amazing view over the southern end of the Freycinet Peninsula, from the top of Mt Amos.
Clockwise from top LHS: looking upward in one of the forests – note the gaps in the canopy – this phenomenon is called ‘crown shyness’; that little hint of pink blush is all we got for our dawn climb to the top of Mt Amos, but it was still worth every second; wombats on Maria Island; a cool seat near the lookout over Wineglass Bay; love Tassie road signs; here we are at the top of Mt Amos; Cape Barren geese on Maria Island.
